The in­ve­sti­ga­ti­on of car­dio­vascu­lar di­sea­ses in­clu­des va­rious dia­gno­stic pro­ce­du­res.

Cardiovascular diseases are primarily investigated on an outpatient basis, in rare cases on an inpatient basis.

Cour­se of tre­at­ment

Ergometry is used to determine physical performance while monitoring the ECG and blood pressure. Ergometry is also known as exercise ECG. It is a frequently used examination in prevention, sports medicine and in the follow-up of cardiovascular diseases.

  • Combined with focussed echocardiography (usually on the function of the left ventricle), this is called stress echocardiography
  • Combined with a mask with which the respiratory gases are measured, this is called spiroergometry - this takes place with our colleagues in pneumology
