Therapy programme procedure
The therapy begins with 3 individual sessions consisting of an initial examination, tests and a practical introduction to the exercise programme. This is followed by 14 group sessions in which the course participants are enabled to continue an exercise programme in their home environment even after completing the treatment. The programme ends with a final individual session in which the tests from the initial examination are repeated and the results of the treatment are reviewed.
The therapy is aimed at all patients suffering from osteoarthritis of the knee or hip. The prerequisite for participation in training is a general state of health that allows for moderate sporting activity.
