Endoscopy for diagnostic bladder, ureter and kidney endoscopy allowsdiagnostic assessment of the urethra, urinary bladder, ureter and the interior of the kidneys under direct vision.
Course of treatment
This examination method allows pathological changes in the bladder, urethra and kidneys to be recognised and sometimes treated at the same time.
- Treatment of benign prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia)
Excision via the urethra (electroresection of the prostate, TUR-P)
Greenlight laser vaporisation (greenlight vaporisation)*
* also possible with ongoing blood thinning - Treatment of superficial urinary bladder tumours
Endoscopic removal via the urethra incl. photodynamic diagnostics (TUR bladder) - Treatment of urinary stones
- Disintegration and removal of bladder stones via the urethra (using laser).
- Ureterorenoscopy (URS): an endoscopic surgical procedure in which urinary stones in the entire urinary tract can be broken up with rigid or flexible instruments, e.g. using a laser, and then removed.
- Percutaneous nephrolitholapaxy (PNL): keyhole surgery to remove larger kidney stones.
- In collaboration with the Metabolism and Nutrition Centre, we also offer metabolic assessment and recurrence prevention for urinary stone disease. All diagnostic procedures for metabolic urinary stone clarification are available on site.
